On a beautiful late-Spring day, my parents hosteda family BBQ and I brought this strawberry, spinach, feta, and basil salad.  Some of my besties recently gave me this lovely gift of Organic Strawberry Balsamic and Organic Basil-infused Olive Oil from Fort Wayne’s own Olive Twist.

The afternoon of our 24th day in, I had the honor of being “Mystery Reader” to my son’s 2nd grade class.  The kids know that every Friday a grown-up will be coming in to read a story and will bring a snack.

Bill grilled up some delicious mako sharkshark from Paula’s Seafood on Main.  According to my handy-dandy Seafood Watch app:  while “most shark populations worldwide are at historically low levels due to serious overfishing”, wild-caught mako is a “Good Alternative”.
